We’re thrilled to announce that the Douglas Innovation Centre was recognised at the Property Council NZ 2023 Awards and awarded Excellence in the Industrial Property category. This award is presented to projects that are amongst the best in category and that symbolise excellence across all aspects of the evaluation criteria.
The Property Council Awards are focused on celebrating purpose-driven spaces that serve our communities. We were evaluated based on the economic feasibility; project vision, innovation, and performance; design, construction, user satisfaction, and efficiency of operation.
As part of the submission by RDT Pacific & Ashton Mitchell, Douglas hosted five judges to showcase the purpose-built pharmaceutical innovation spaces. The judges were impressed by the diverse functions served by the lab, manufacturing, storage, office, and general usage areas. They were also appreciative of the high level of complexity associated with constructing and operating that level of capability.
Douglas Innovation can accommodate 120 of our incredible people over three stories. The centre includes a large R&D laboratory, climate-controlled warehousing, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, training rooms, a large upper-level cafeteria and office areas.
This is fantastic recognition of the building and all the effort that has gone into creating our world-class facility. Thank you to everyone who has helped us to design, construct, fit-out, equip, qualify, move to, and operate Douglas Innovation.
